McCann's One Year On-Yet Another Incongruous Media Moment?

I watched the interview on BBC 1 with Madeleine McCann's grieving parents Kate and Gerry McCann, and listened with sympathy to how they had 'steeled themselves' for the interview with the BBC, how they had ' nearly not gone' to the interview.
There then appears a moment when the interview is clearly over, but the camera continues to roll, this appears at 2 minutes and 44 seconds into the clip , at that moment the demeanour of the couple appears to change dramatically, from sombre steely solemnity, to what can only be described as expressions which are something akin to a moment of bar-room bonhomie.

I still have an open mind as to the fate of young Madeleine, but I have always expressed the sincere belief that eventually the truth will out, as to how this young girl disappeared.
I do have to confess however to being continuously wrong footed by the body language of this couple. They appear to be able to adopt one persona one moment and another a few seconds later. Is there something innate to the humanity of us all that allows us to perceive sincerity?Speaking personally, when one fails repeatedly to receieve the usual visual cues which signify this quality of sincerity, is it any wonder that ones normal default position of sympathy and belief is challenged?
The premise of the interview was that the couple had struggled with the emotional challenge of discussing the anniversary of their daughters disappearance at all, then when the interview appears to end, the visual image that leaps from the screen completely undermines that premise.
It is also interesting that the editors at the BBC chose to retain that section of the footage on screen, that surely was not an error.
I would rather not have seen it, because as with the other jarring incongruities about this couples body language throughout the past year, it makes disturbing viewing. Why? Because it rakes up that nagging doubt once more as to why these discrepancies continue to arise, disjunctures between what this couple say they are feeling and how they actually look.

Unrepentant communist,

You are surely on the right lines.

Your instinct and judgment are surely correct.

The 'abduction' scenario is, I believe, a gigantic smokescreen to cover up something far worse.

Unrepentant communist,

Another couple of points.

If you look at previous occasions where parents have claimed that a very young child has literally been snatched from their home, almost invariably it turns out that the child has been the victim of an intra-familuy murder or negligent death. Sad, but absolutely true. I have on file many examples.

For further examples of incongruous McCann body language, go to YouTube and type in 'McCann' 'Happy' 'Talk'

I think you are wrong in this case, whilst body language can and does indicate guilt individuals under extreme stress can display a multitude of differing responses.

Paul, you may well be right and I am not expert in this field. However I have also noticed this in the past and wondered at it. I have puzzled at the speed of the organised publicity very soon after the disappearance. I find all these things puzzling and hope to see some help when the police evidence is disclosed.

There are not just incongruencies between what the Mc Cans say and their body language.
There are contradictions between what they say and what they do.
They claimed to leave no stone unturned to find maddie.
The actual facts.

Even before PJ arrived on the scene , May 3 , 2007 , evidence was destroyed because Mc Cans did nothing to preserve it.

quote from daily mail article

Police 'looked on as Madeleine crime scene was trampled by circus of people'
nov 11, 2007

" The officers, who spoke on condition that they were not identified, arrived at the Ocean Club complex within two hours of Mrs McCann raising the alarm madeleine..was missing.

end of quote

.......

The officers
quote

said "hysterical civilians" were running in and out of the apartment "

end of quote

This was even before portuguese FBI ( PJ ) arrived on the scene.

Mc Cans did nothing to preserve the crime scene.

Later on the year , June 11, the apartment where the so called abduction had taken place was released to the public by the portuguese police.
Next it was cleaned , and rented to another family.

Mc Cans again did nothing to preserve evidence or prevent it from being destroyed.

Blood found in Bedroom

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1559608/Madeleine-McCann-Blood-found-in-bedroom.html

Mc Cans could have easily have re rented the apartment in order to preserve the evidence.
But they fail to do it.
Portuguese police was inept.
But Mc Cans are educated people.

They had vowed to leave no stone unturned.
They should have preserved the evidence in the apartment and call forensic experts from britain to re check it.

But they fail to do it.

By June Mc Cans were sitting on a pile of cash.

Instead of going to Morroco as they did , they should have preserved the evidence in the apartment in wich the abductor had been.
They failed to do it.
That is strange.

When later in the year it emerged evidence was found in the gerry rented car.., Gerry called forensic experts from britain to check evidence in the car.
But he did fail to call the same experts to the apartment in wich he claimed an abductor had kidnapped maddie.

There are not just incongruencies between what the Mc Cans say and their body language.
There are contradictions between what they say and what they do.
They claimed to leave no stone unturned but they fail to turn the most valuable stone.
The evidence in maddies room.
More than DNA tests..., or PJ leaks.., or rumours..., these small details in the Mc Can story is what does persuade me they are not innocent.
If they want to find the abductor for real they could have called experts from britain to chack the evidence in the house from wich maddie dissapeared but they fail to do it

I am not surprised you find yourself confused with "body language" because, of course, there is no such thing. What there is, is a lot of, usually contradictory, psycho-babble from so-called experts who should be 'disappeared' themselves, Maddie-style, in order to help create a saner world!

To amplify my assertion, let me tell you that I am in here, behind my eyes, peering at you out there, or to be precise, peering at the carcass out there which presumably contains you; whilst you, simultaneously, peer back at me. My interpretation of your bodily movements and actions is heavily influenced by *my* mental and physical condition and experience at the time. Even your very words, experience with others cautions me, cannot be taken at face value. I know for a fact, alas, that *my* words are not necessarily to be relied on as an indication of my state of mind - even were I able to offer you an approximate definition of such an elusive condition.

'Body language' is best confined to pulp fiction with psychological pretensions - good fun but scientific garbage!

At last some sanity on this issue from David Duff.

The aerlier comments and indeed the original post itself indicate only the states of mind of the individual authors and throw no light whatsover on this distressing case.

I have realized that car insurance companies know the cars which are prone to accidents and other risks. They also know what kind of cars are susceptible to higher risk and the higher risk they have the higher your premium charge. Understanding the simple basics of car insurance will help you choose the right kind of insurance policy that will take care of your needs in case you become involved in an accident. Thanks for sharing your ideas on your blog.
